Alternative Choices Group Program for Children and Teens
Group Programs are continually available at Alternative Choices. Children's groups meet in 6 week cycles. Every 6 weeks is followed by a week of parent meetings to provide in-depth feedback as a core component to support children in reaching their goals. Teen groups are ongoing on a weekly or bi-monthly basis, depending upon the group. Enrollment in groups requires an intake process to ensure comprehensive evaluation and appropriate placement. GROUP SESSION CYCLES:
- Sessions 1-6: 50 minute weekly group sessions
- Session 7: Parent Check-in
The childrens' groups do not end after 6 weeks, they just take a one week break to discuss goals and progress with parents and then continue on.
