Mentorship Program Mission:

To help young adults with special needs succeed in college and beyond.

Who We Mentor:

  • Young adults with learning and social challenges, including those posed by ASD's and related conditions.
  • Must be enrolled in a post-secondary program.
  • Self-motivated to function independently in a college setting. 

What our Mentorship Program Offers:

Individual support from a qualified mentor for up to 5 hours a week including:

  • Accessing available services such as classroom accommodation, notes in different formats, tutoring and mental health services
  • Help managing daily life away from home
  • Negotiating academic demands
  • Social skills/social behavior
  • Money and time management
  • Career/Vocational support
  • Getting involved in the community
  • Monthly group meeting with other students enrolled in our mentorship program

Our Mentors:

We offer actively involved college graduates as our mentors who are caring, compassionate, and solution focused.  They are supervised by one of our psychologists.  Mentors also provide support with setting and achieving short and long term goals in various aspects of daily life.

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Grief
  • Relationship Issues
  • Specialized Groups

*Psychotherapy is exclusive of the mentorship program.

  • We Connect Now- We This website was developed in an effort to connect and integrate college students with disabilities as a virtual community with a voice on important issues.  The We Connect Now website has  been up and serving college students with disabilities since 2008 
  • Inside Higher Ed- This article provides information on a new on-line degree program being offered that tailors to non-traditional learners, and is designed around many of the issues facing students with autism.
