Dr. Cindy Ariel has been a Dining for Women chapter leader since May 2011. She has also volunteered as a Mid-Atlantic Regional Leader since October 2013. The DFW chapter at Alternative Choices was started in September 2014.

Dining for Women is an educational giving circle working to inspire, educate and engage people to invest in grassroots programs that make a meaningful difference for women and girls living in extreme poverty in developing countries (http://diningforwomen.org/)

Chapters meet monthly for potluck dinners and learn about a featured program - a program vetted by the national selection team. Members then give what they may have spent if they had dinner out, in a restaurant. All of the donations from all of the chapters (over 400 nationwide) are pooled together offering the most impact to the women and girls that DFW is working to empower.

In June 2015, Dining for Women is supporting Indego Africa.  Indego Africa is a non-profit based in Rwanda that supports women through the economic empowerment of selling their own crafts.
